Kevin Joshua

BSc (Hons) Pharmacy, MRSPH (Member of the Royal Society for Public Health)

Kevin Joshua is Juniper’s Superintendent Pharmacist and Clinical Operations Lead. As part of his role, Kevin designs and delivers support services to help patients access support that the NHS isn’t able to provide, specialising in weight management and menopause.

Kevin’s focus on clinical risk governance and safety functions ensures our prescribing and medication supply is carried out to the highest possible standards.

Juniper, as a digital health clinic of Eucalyptus, offers online consultations with registered clinicians, like Kevin, giving our patients the freedom to speak to their care team at their convenience and from the comfort of their own home.

“I use my extensive experience as a qualified pharmacist for 28 years to help Juniper build a world-class experience for our patients throughout their weight loss journey. I have built and managed new pharmacy services for the last 15 years with a focus on getting the best health and wellbeing outcomes for patients, and delivering a service that makes patients feel valued and safe.

I’m responsible for the governance and safety of our services. Out of work I like to spend my time watching science fiction, and hill-walking with my Labrador, Travis (who is currently in his naughty adolescent stage).”

Research at Juniper

Most medical weight loss programmes cite the same general clinical trials. Juniper, however, has multiple peer-reviewed studies showing real-world health improvements for its members.

As part of our commitment to improving digital care standards, we’re sharing our learnings with the wider medical community.

We’re publishing research in the emerging space of digital healthcare on the quality and safety of our programmes, along with patient adherence and satisfaction.

We prioritise patient safety

We prioritise patient safety

Juniper has been endorsed by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) as a provider of multidisciplinary weight-management services to the NHS, and has been certified against the Digital Technology Assessment Criteria (DTAC) standard by ORCHA and the ISO-27001 cyber security standards. We’ve been inspected by the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and meet their standards for care.

We audit more than 6,000 consults each month worldwide, constantly working to improve the safety and quality of the Juniper programme for our members. We believe this is an enormous benefit of online care.

Our team of registered healthcare professionals are here to support all of our members, whenever they need it. It’s our goal to work alongside the wider healthcare sector to support members with safe and effective care, enhanced by technology.
